Benefits of Supercells (Leach Tubes) in Restoration This container, like most used in restoration, was developed for reforestation. The tube shape was chosen because it has the following advantages: 1. The containers are narrow, so many plants can be grown in a small amount of space. |

Problems and Disadvantages Small plants easily become overrun with weeds when planted in the field. They also become easily lost under the weeds, and may be overlooked during maintenance. Small plants are susceptible to accidental mowing. Use of Super Cells (Leach Tubes) in the Nursery and Restoration It is often said that small plants acclimate more easily to life in the wild than larger plants. From our experience, however, small plants do not acclimate any better or faster than large plants. |
